I’m a strategic communicator and marketer who’s spent the past 15+ years helping mission-driven organizations connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.
From national nonprofits to grassroots campaigns and B2B marketing, I’ve led teams and projects that translate complex goals into compelling digital experiences. I build websites, shape brand identities and craft campaigns that move people to act. My approach combines thoughtful leadership with hands-on collaboration, whether guiding a multichannel fundraising strategy or designing a visual system that brings a bold idea to life. Communications brings together two of my passions, data and storytelling, to make ideas accessible.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina, where I was the board-elected radio station manager of WUSC-FM, and received multiple university awards and recognition, including national press for hosting a world-record event. I also programmed and helped launch the state’s first HD-2 radio station on a digital transmitter, as well as its first channel dedicated exclusively to world music. After graduating, I spent several years working in Montessori education coordinating technology and gardening programs prior to relocating to the D.C. region. Through a temporary position in development, I discovered a passion for work in the nonprofit and membership sectors. I’ve since held multiple senior leadership roles at DC-area organizations, where I’ve led integrated communications and marketing teams, overseen creative and digital strategy, and managed staff across disciplines to support enterprise-wide goals.
Of my professional skills, the most valuable is my ability to lead passionate and high-performing teams while navigating complexity, aligning diverse perspectives, and driving collaborative solutions across the finish line.
When not working, I spend as much time as I can outdoors with my son and our dog. I also love to travel with my partner and experience new places and ideas. My passions are education advocacy and health-related policies and research.
